About the role

Goal Get It! is hiring a Risk Control and Compliance Manager to build scalable controls, documentation, and vendor risk practices as we expand programs and technology. You’ll help teams move fast while staying aligned with clear standards—especially around applicant data and financial stewardship.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain operational controls (approvals, documentation, access reviews, retention).

  • Run vendor risk workflows (intake, questionnaires, tracking, remediation follow-ups).

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Engineering on privacy/security-aligned practices.

  • Support internal audits and readiness efforts (policies, evidence collection, training).

  • Use AI tools substantively for policy drafting, evidence organization, and tracking—while verifying outputs and protecting confidentiality.

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). MS/LLM/PhD/JD welcome.

  • Typically 4+ years in compliance, risk management, audit support, or controls-heavy operations.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong documentation discipline and ability to operationalize requirements.

  • Clear communication and cross-functional influence (you can drive follow-through).

  • Comfort handling sensitive personal and financial data with discretion.

  • Substantive AI-tool fluency for documentation and analysis with rigorous verification.

Nice to have

  • Experience with privacy programs, vendor security reviews, or incident readiness.

  • Experience in education, nonprofit, or scholarship programs.

  • Familiarity with basic governance practices (policies, exceptions, approvals).

Working conditions

  • Remote work; periodic peaks around audits, renewals, and program milestones.

Compensation

Expected base salary range (annual, USD): $100,000 – $136,000. 

This role is open to candidates regardless of location. Compensation will be based on the location of the successful candidate.

Goal Get It! and Lu Memorial Foundation provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
