About the role

Goal Get It! is seeking a Finance Operations Intern to support accurate, timely finance workflows that protect Lu’s legacy through strong stewardship. You’ll help keep documentation clean, processes reliable, and reporting consistent—using AI tools to accelerate templates and analysis while verifying accuracy.

Schedule & duration

Quarterly internship aligned with academic schedules; part-time during terms, potentially full-time in summer.

What you’ll do

• Support invoice tracking, expense documentation, and operational checklists.

• Help reconcile simple reports and flag discrepancies for review.

• Maintain organized, audit-ready files and approval trails.

• Use AI tools for drafting memos, checklists, and summaries—then verify numbers and source documents.

Education & experience

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a BS, MS, or PhD program (finance, accounting, economics, or related), or equivalent experience.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Strong attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets.

• Discretion handling sensitive financial information.

• Substantive AI-tool fluency for documentation and analysis with rigorous verification.

Nice to have

• Basic accounting coursework; familiarity with finance tools or bookkeeping workflows.

• Experience in nonprofit or program finance environments.

Working conditions

• Remote work; periodic deadline peaks (month-end or reporting cycles).

Compensation

Expected hourly pay range (USD): $25.00 – $55.00.

This role is open to candidates regardless of location. Compensation will be based on the location of the successful candidate.

The pay offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
