About the role

Goal Get It! Web Services is seeking a DevOps / Platform Engineer to build reliable foundations for our websites, applications, and integrations—supporting edge-hosted delivery, observability, and secure developer workflows. This role is ideal if you like making systems fast, stable, and easy to ship.

What you’ll do

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and environment management for modern web apps.

  • Improve uptime and performance through monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing.

  • Manage secrets, access controls, and secure deployment practices.

  • Support serverless/edge hosting patterns (e.g., Netlify/Vercel) and caching/rendering strategies.

  • Build internal tooling that makes engineers faster (templates, automation, guardrails).

  • Use AI tools substantively to accelerate automation, infrastructure-as-code, troubleshooting, and documentation—while validating outputs and reducing risk.

Education & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience). MS/PhD welcome.

  • Typically 3+ years in DevOps/SRE/platform engineering or similar.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong cloud fundamentals, deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience with observability (metrics/logs/traces), incident response, and postmortems.

  • Security-minded approach (least privilege, secrets hygiene, change controls).

  • Substantive AI-tool fluency for operational automation and debugging with careful verification.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting Next.js/React workloads and edge caching strategies.

  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK), containerization, or runtime hardening experience.

  • Familiarity with compliance-friendly practices (audit trails, access reviews).

Working conditions

  • Remote work; occasional after-hours support during releases/incidents (planned rotation where possible).

Compensation

Expected base salary range (annual, USD): $150,000 – $215,000.

This role is open to candidates regardless of location. Compensation will be based on the location of the successful candidate.
